Orthopedic ONE teamed up with Andrews Architects Inc. to complete another facility for their growing organization. Andrews Architects. worked on the interior architectural design which included a multi-specialty clinic consisting of occupational therapy, physical therapy, clinic space, imaging, and offices. Given that we had worked with this client previously and they were wanting to replicate elements from a building we had previously done for them, the process of design was streamlined.
The first floor of this new building is comprised of a large 16,800 square feet physical therapy open gym with a unique throwing wall, evaluation rooms and total joint facility. There is also a waiting room, MRI suite, orthotics, administration areas, breakroom, and physician lounge. On the second floor we created 12 separate pods for each physician while maintaining a uniform size, look and elements between each pod. The second floor is also home to a spacious waiting area, occupational therapy, four X-rays and a C-ARM room.
Regarding the interior finishes the client had brand standard paint and carpet they wanted to use. Beyond that, the Andrews interior team worked to create a cohesive palette that blended their standard finishes with new fresh natural finishes. One special feature of this project is the zero transitions in the flooring throughout the whole building. In an orthopedic building it was important to the team that any possibility of tripping was mitigated. Small details like this really show how much Andrews Architects experience and attention to detail is beyond compare.
