Ohio Gastroenterology Group Inc. entrusted Andrews Architects Inc. to help them expand by building both the exterior and interior of their latest building. This nearly 40,000 sf building is a two story above ground building with a basement.

The programming requirements for the client included a central supply for their multiple locations throughout central Ohio. Therefore, a basement was designed which also includes training rooms, a physician lounge, conference room, offices, and a break room.

On the ground floor, services for Ohio Gastro include a clinic space for patients and a procedural suite for routine screenings and procedures. Apart from a highly efficient workflow, special consideration and planning was made to bring in as much natural light into all patient spaces as possible.

More than half of the second floor is home to administrative office spaces for Ohio Gastro. The remaining space is being utilized by Capital Private Psychological services (CPPS).  The CPPS group chose to prioritize the buildings’ natural light sources for the care provider spaces, circulation, and waiting area. In addition, it was important that all consultation rooms are equal in size and sound quality. Each room gives clients a sense of security and privacy as well as mitigating any outside distractions from others.
