Jackson Radiology – Office-Based Lab (OBL)

Vascular and Interventional Specialists (JRA) of Jackson, Tennessee enlisted our help to renovate an existing medical office building which remained empty for almost a decade. JRA wanted their new space to include procedure rooms, pre / post-op bays, exam rooms, ultrasound room, and staff areas.

We were able to accommodate their needs in the 9,025 square feet building with a waiting and reception, seven exam rooms, two procedure rooms, six pre / post-op bays along with nurse stations, ultrasound room, breakroom and back of house staff areas.

One element this building was lacking was curb appeal. We worked with the client as well as the local architectural firm to renovate the exterior of the building. This included expanding the entrance and adding in floor to ceiling windows, a pitched roof, new metal roof and painting the existing brick to give it a modern look that matches its new and improved modern interior.

In addition to the exterior, Andrews Architects worked closely with JRA on the interior look and feel of the space. The client wanted an inviting warm farmhouse chic style. We were able to achieve this through warm wood tones throughout and an earthy paint pallet. With the new pitched ceiling, we wanted to create a wow factor for their clients when they first enter the building. With budget in mind, we used a photo realistic wood wallcovering and wood look acoustical sound baffles to achieve the desired effect. The baffles added acoustical properties to the now much taller lobby, as a result the design team was able to create a functional and inviting space for patients and staff.
