Sugar Run of New Albany is an active lifestyle community designed for adults ages fifty-five and older. The 102-unit independent living development is comprised of a series of townhomes that surround the three story manor house apartment building which anchors the site.

The community is envisioned as a place where active adults and retired individuals can live, gather, relax, and entertain in an environment specifically designed for their needs and desires. Andrews Architects was enlisted to design the project for its expertise in senior living design to give particular attention to the challenges facing the intended older adult resident. An important feature of the community is its connection with the enhanced landscape features and natural site elements. A high level of detail within each residence is important to the success of the townhomes and manor house alike to achieve market acceptance.
