Andrews Continues its Support of Ohio Schools of Architecture

Posted on August 11, 2017

Several of Andrews Architects’ staff will be furthering their professional development through graduate studies at The Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University. Alex Nyktas will be starting his third year of studies toward his Master of Architecture degree. A 2015 graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, he has interned with the firm for the past year. Alexis Mallett (Bachelor of Science in Architecture, The Ohio State University) will be entering her graduate studies at The Knowlton School in the second year curriculum. In addition to working at Andrews Architects since graduating in 2016, she interned with the firm during her undergraduate studies. Claire Brothers (2015 Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Design, Bowling Green State University) will be starting her first year of graduate studies at Knowlton. Claire has worked full time with Andrews for two years. We wish our young professionals all of the best in this upcoming academic year.

Bill Schubert, AIA, ACHA, Vice President of Planning and Architectural Services, has been co-teaching a graduate level healthcare planning course for Kent State University’s School of Architecture. Building on his 30+ years as a healthcare planner, Bill is “paying it forward” by sharing his expert knowledge in this very specialized field to a select group of graduate students that have chosen to focus on healthcare design. As Adjunct Professor, he builds his syllabus each year around a real world planning situation to help his students fully understand the role that proper planning plays in creating successful healthcare environments. We wish Bill, and his students, all the best in this upcoming semester!
